Camera Basics
$600
Do you want to take better photos of your family? Three hours of in-person instruction, teaching you how to use the camera that's sitting in the back of your closet. Must own a DSLR/Mirrorless camera capable of shooting in manual mode.
Are digital images included?
30+ digital images are included with all packages.
Do you charge for travel?
I'm happy to travel to your home or a location of your choosing, though any distance greater than 25 miles from Birmingham will be subject to a $25 travel fee. If you need me somewhere greater than a few hours away or for a destination session, contact me and we'll chat!
Do you offer boudoir shoots?
I do, and they're a BLAST! However, for the privacy of those involved, I do not post the galleries here. I have examples to show in person, so if you're interested, contact me to set up a meeting.
Price includes a base session + studio rental. Hair and makeup artists are available with advanced notice for additional cost.
Can i place a filter on my photos?
When I edit your photos, I spend a lot of time tweaking them and pouring my creative time and effort into delivering a product you'll love in my personal style. If you then decide to apply a filter or change them in some way, it is being advertised as mine and is a misrepresentation of my work and vision.
In short, I'd appreciate if you left things as is. If you'd like a simple, minor edit, such as turning something black and white or removing a blemish, please feel free to contact me and I'd be happy to help out. If you're thinking of booking, make sure you like my style prior to securing your spot!
Are you always so sarcastic?
Yes. Except when I'm telling you that you're doing a great job during our session, or that you or your tiny humans are adorable.
Do you offer extended family shoots?
As of January 2023, extended family shoots are no longer offered to new clients. Extended family sessions will be offered to existing clients on a limited basis per year.
What gear do you shoot with?
I shoot with a Canon R6 and the following lenses:
- 85mm 1.4L
- 50mm 1.4
- 35mm 1.4
- 24-70 2.8L II
- Canon flashes and triggers (for indoor shoots)
I also have a backup body, just in case!
How do I see my photos?
Easy peasy! After the session, I put a few of my favorite shots on social media via Facebook/Instagram pages so you can have something to look forward to! Sharing the post on your own page is much appreciated!
When the full gallery is done, I'll send you an email with a link to access and instructions for how to do so. If it's included in your package, you can download all the photos straight to your computer and can print/share them at your leisure.
Do you offer prints?
I believe photos are meant to be printed and enjoyed instead of stored on a hard drive somewhere. For this reason, print packages are now available. Albums are also available upon request.
